Notes & FAQ
For this tool

Concerns the press insert holders for ipr1000hP-110, ipr1500hP-130 and ipr1500hP-140. The number after the dash denotes the outer diameter of the press inserts and at the same time the inner diameter of the press head fork. The holders accept various press insert sizes and each has the dimension indicated after the dash: • The iprPA110 has an outer dimension of 110 mm. • The iprPA130 has an outer dimension of 130 mm. • The iprPA140 has an outer dimension of 140 mm. In principle the press inserts are compatible with the holders, because the coupling is of identical construction. This means press inserts with an outer diameter of 110 mm can also be coupled to the iprPA130 and iprPA140 holders. In principle there is nothing against using 110 mm press inserts in the iprPA130 holder. However, there are no tests that could prove usability with 100% certainty. To date no problems whatsoever have become known from practice. Press inserts with outer diameters of 110 mm and 130 mm can NOT be used with the iprPA140 holder, because the dimensional tolerance is different and the inserts therefore do not achieve force-locking (Kraftschluss). For using 130 mm press inserts in the ipr1500hP-140 press head, a special holder was designed: the iprPA140-for-130PE.

Occasionally air in a hydraulic tool prevents it from working at full capability. The question is: how does the air get into the system? Please note the following: • After the hydraulic power unit's tank has been fully emptied and then refilled, the tank must be bled. • New hoses must be filled with oil before use. The same applies after hose testing. • If the nipples on the tool are replaced in-house, it is essential that whoever does so has first been instructed in bleeding the tool: when the fitted nipple is removed, the oil drains out and the oil chamber fills with air.
